Printing and Scanning
Rookwood Art & Print offers image capture, printing and other repro services. Flatbed scanning of artwork is charged at £15 per scan. A single scan can cover anything up to A3. Flatbed scanning is possible for larger artworks but will require composite stitching of multiple scans also charged at £15 ea. High resolution photography using controlled studio lights is available at £30 per image. Image processing includes levels adjustment and some cleaning but full colour proofing to print is charged separately.
Images are carefully profiled from camera or scanner through a calibrated monitor to a high colour gamut output large format printer to afford complete colour control. We have the latest in the range of Epson SureColor printers featuring 11 colours which can match 99% of pantone certified colours, the maximum currently available on the market. Using high resolution copies with these Ultrachrone HDX inks on acid-fast high quality papers such as Hahnemuhle and Somerset we can provide Giclee prints with a lightfastness in excess of 75 years.
We provide a calculator below to estimate print cost on the basis of area up to a square meter in extent. Please contact us for quotes for anything larger than this. Rookwood Gallery is not VAT registered so no there is no VAT to add to these estimates.
Orders of 5 or more prints of the same image qualify for 5% discount; while orders of 10 or more prints of the same image qualify for 10% discount and this will be reflected in the calculator below.
Editing
Workstations at Rookwood Studios may be hired by artists and photographers at a rate of £12.50 per hour unaccompanied or £25 per hour accompanied with expert advice. We can offer a proofing service from original to print at a rate of £25 per hour.
Storage and Display
All digital images sent to us or scanned by us are saved to safe storage location, which is included in our monthly backup cycle. All files can also be saved for you in an agreed format in a Google Drive folder.

If approved, your works will be displayed on the Website under your own name. Prints can either be printed and shipped by us on an ‘on demand’ basis, or shipped directly by the artist. Please note that any works sold via the Website or Gallery are subject to 25% commission.
