Open studios has been a lot of fun again this year and we have met many interesting art fans
but today I am doing a bit of printing for Rosalyn Siân Evans
Ros is an exceptional local artist from the St Davids area and a good friend
I wasnt able to chat much when I first met Ros because I was in the dentist chair with a mouth full of dentistry stuff and Ros was the dental nurse!
I had no idea then she was such a creative and prolific artist.
Ros grew up on a farm nearby and imprinted on Pembrokeshire landscapes, light and colours
With her BA hons in Fine Art (Painting) from St.Margaret School of Art, Birmingham, Ros is well qualified and has been doing exhibitions of her work since 2011.
Ros has made a general shift from representational scenes of the coast and livestock to beautiful abstracts which make very clever use of local colours
recently Ros has had a very successful solo exhibition at Oriel y Parc showing her charcoal drawings of the local lifeboat team and wonderful canvases worked up in situ on the beach..
